“Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it and I shall move the world”

Archimedes (287 BC – 212 B)
Greek mathematician and inventor; the father of mathematics

The concept of a fulcrum – the pivotal point upon which leverage is obtained - is an apt symbol of the value which we provide our clients. Our analysis and findings provide a solid point which allows our clients to succeed.

Fulcrum was founded in May 2002. Our founding principals started their careers with the Andersen firm, where they provided leadership in forensic accounting, valuation, and litigation damages analysis. Fulcrum since expanded both its service offerings and personnel through experienced hires. Retired executives and professors supplement Fulcrum’s full-time personnel when we need additional experience in specialized areas. Resumes of our key personnel are included on this website.

Fulcrum’s analyses are often complex, but we take great pride in making our conclusions approachable and easy to comprehend. Our findings are often presented graphically using presentation techniques that we have honed for decades. You will not confuse Fulcrum’s reports and graphs with those of our competitors.

Fulcrum focuses on the quality and timeliness of our solutions and presentations. In spite of this focus, we frequently are also the low-cost provider because we use electronic data, computer capabilities, and statistical analyses to more efficiently address complex information and data.

In 2010, Fulcrum earned "best places to work" in two independent competitions. The evaluations were performed by independent organizations, were based on a combination of employee surveys, employment practices and benefits.

  1. Best Places to Work in Los Angeles County – This evaluation covers all industries and all types of employers. Fulcrum was ranked #1 in the small business category (up to 50 employees).
  2. Best Accounting Firms in the U.S. – This evaluation covers accounting firms across the U.S.  Fulcrum was ranked #2 in the entire country in the small firm category (up to 50 employees).

Fulcrum is proud to contribute to the community through pro bono services and monetary contributions. As one recognition of this service, Public Counsel, the country’s largest pro-bono legal organization, awarded Fulcrum “Advocate of the Year” in 2009 for its financial analysis in support of important litigation on behalf of homeless persons.
