Experience > Damage Analysis > Sampling and Surveys
Accurate analysis sometimes depends on obtaining additional information. Care and skill is needed to obtain this additional data cost-effectively, while at the same time not biasing the results. Sampling and surveys are tools used to dramatically reduce required work while still obtaining useful data.
Representative Projects
- For a project analyzing data of alleged billing overcharges of a health insurance company, a random sample was designed and estimated the total amount of billing overcharges based on proper statistical sampling methods as applied to the measured sample.
- In a matter involving alleged billing overcharges of a major long-term care service provider, a random sample was designed and estimated the total amount of billing overcharges facilities based on proper statistical sampling methods.
- In a dispute involving alleged rent overcharges, a random sample was designed and conducted to estimate the alleged average error rate (i.e., rent overcharge) and extrapolate sample results to the entire population using proper statistical sampling methods.
- Statistical analysis of customer sales trends gathered from club card tracking data. Collected and consolidated hundreds of gigabytes of sales history data.
